San Diego >> Sedona, Arizona (for my 44th beeday!!)>> Scottsdale, Arizona >> Tucson, Arizona >> (New Mexico was on full lockdown due to Covid so we slept in the van in a random neighborhood before venturing into the great state of Texas where we primitive camped on our first night.) Austin, Texas >> New Orleans, Louisiana >> Biloxi, Mississippi >> Huntsville, Alabama >> Nashville, Tennessee >> Asheville, North Carolina >> Damascus, Maryland >> Marlboro, New Jersey! (the end of the line for 2020!)

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Spending the week of my 44th birthday in the amazing portal that is Sedona, Arizona.

  • Visiting Panda in Scottsdale, Arizona.

  • Enjoying a week in the magical terrain near Saguaro National Park outside of Tucson where we met a family of four from Maryland and celebrated a quiet Halloween together at our campground.

  • Traveling to Cochise Stronghold, Arizona (a climber's mecca), with our new friends whom we camped off-grid with, after which Cee and I explored the old western town of Tombstone.

  • Primitive camping outside of El Paso, Texas and Huntsville, Alabama.

  • Camping on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, visiting with Heather from high school and staying outside of Laura and Robert's new home.

  • Bike riding through New Orleans, along the Mississippi River and staying in the lower 9th ward where Hurricane Katrina had hit the hardest.

  • Visiting soul brother Zap in Biloxi, Mississippi.

  • Checking out NASA's largest space rocket facilities in Mississippi and Huntsville, Alabama. (Cee loves space rockets!)

  • Enjoying the cool, change in climate in Alabama, especially after two years of not having experienced a "cold" winter.

  • Dropping in for a visit with Mama Alison and her son Solar in Nashville, Tennessee. Bike riding into downtown Nashville.

  • Driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains and stopping in to see Kelie at the farm she shares with one of our dance mentors (who is her partner but he was back in California at the time) in Asheville, North Carolina.

  • Visiting with Mama friends and their sons at the home they share in Damascus, Maryland and whom we met while we were all worldschooling together down in Mexico two summers before.

  • Arriving into New Jersey to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my mother in law, her sister and brother in law.

  • Taking Cee to see my grandparent's old home in Middlesex, New Jersey.

  • Enjoying some holiday cheer moments with my Aunt Patricia before we headed back to Ecuador.
